The convertible floor system at The Paramount Theatre provides the ability to configure the floor with theatre seating, a ballroom, a dance floor or dinner theatre. Built in Italy, this convertible floor is the only one of this size in the world.		Over 3 million crystal beads adorn 218 chandeliers and light fixtures at The Paramount Theatre.

Paramount & Moore Theatre Tours

Seattle Theatre Group offers free tours of the historic Paramount and Moore Theatres.

Moore Theatre tours are on the second Saturday of every month. Please meet in front of the main entrance of the Theatre - on the corner 2nd and Virginia - by 10 am. The tours will last approximately 90 minutes and will be lead by members of our well-versed volunteer staff.

Paramount Theatre tours are on the first Saturday of every month. Please meet in front of the main entrance of the Theatre – on the corner of 9th and Pine – by 10 am. The tours will last approximately 90 minutes and will be lead by members of our well-versed volunteer staff.

“Over 450,000 patrons pass through the doors of The Paramount each year. These free tours give the public a chance to learn more about this historic Theatre while giving them a glimpse behind the scenes,” said Josh LaBelle, Executive Director of Seattle Theatre Group – the non-profit performing arts organization that owns and operates the historic Paramount and Moore Theatres.

Seattle Theatre Group will schedule tours upon request for student groups, ages 7 years and up, to experience the technical workings of the stage, backstage operations, the history of the lobby, and of the theatre building itself.
